It means "to make an inventory of the merchandise, furniture, etc., in one's own possession, recording its quantity and present value, or to make a careful estimate of one's position with regard to resources, prospects, or the like."

World's Finest Stock

Guess, which is the world's finest stock of the past decade ?
It's none other than Gammon India !!

If you had invested Rs. 10000 in February 1997 in Gammon India, its worth would now be Rs 1.7 crore. Howz that for an investment ?

Now, don't rush and pick up Gammon India :-). Gammon recently ran into some trouble with SEBI and scrip has had a real rough phase. In fact, with the current on-going correction it has reached the same value, as it was 2 years ago (Mar 2005). Wait for it to bottom out and ensure you pick some.


They have a lot of work left to do in India :-). An example of their panache: India's longest flyover, the Hebbal Flyover that was built in record time, with an amazing budget of 43 crores.
