A phrase that the Oxford English Dictionary reports was first used in 1736. It means "to make an inventory of the merchandise, furniture, etc., in one's own possession, recording its quantity and present value, or to make a careful estimate of one's position with regard to resources, prospects, or the like."

One man army

Another day of volatile trade at the markets. The Sensex ended 44.65 points (0.33%) up. But my portfolio surged by a cool 2.02%, thanks to a single scrip. Tech Mahindra got upper circuit locked (20% up) today. The share is now trading at its all time high of 1493, making it the best IPO performer in my portfolio and the first to deliver 300%+ gains.

There may not be any updates to the blog till Jan 2nd 2007, since I'm travelling. Wish you all a very PROSPEROUS and happy new year.
