It means "to make an inventory of the merchandise, furniture, etc., in one's own possession, recording its quantity and present value, or to make a careful estimate of one's position with regard to resources, prospects, or the like."

Did I get lucky ?

Hmm.... So, looking at the sudden surge in my IPO hit-rate from 16.66% to 40%, you may think that I have suddenly gone lucky. Well, the Basis of Allotment (BoA) of the IPOs reveal the truth. The only reason I got allotments is because I didn't rely on my luck (cos it sucks!). The allotment in both Power Finance Corp. and Firstsource Solns. were through FIRM allotments.

GBN was an exception to this. I learnt that I actually manage to get allotment in a category (200 shares), which had a ratio as bad as 2:11. Can you believe this ? I happen to be one among the 2 who got allotment, out of the 13 !!
