No allotment in Redington
The disgraceful website of Cameo Corporate services, finally offered me a text box, where I could type in my application number. And here is what he dumped on my screen. :-(
Name | RAJESH VIJAYARAJAN |
Application No | 12715780 |
Alloted Shares | NIL |
Refund Amount | 47460 |
Refund Order No | 91924 |
Refund Mode | ECS |
No allotment again! Even more annoying is the fact that the refund has still not arrived. Need to think twice, before applying for an issue that is being managed by this registrar.
I guess its time to revisit my IPO Hit-rate. The details are:
Issue | Allotment |
Info Edge India | REJECT |
Parsvnath Developers | Rs. 6000 |
Sobha Developers | REJECT |
Tanla Solutions | REJECT |
Pyramid Saimira | REJECT |
Autoline Industries | REJECT |
Global Broadcast News | Rs. 6250 |
Redington India | REJECT |
(Note: In all of the above, applied for the highest multiple that does not exceed 50K.)
2 out of 8. So, the hit-rate stands at a meager 25%

if u get it, its amazing (usually) if u dont its money stagnating for long time.
risk-reward ratio seems to favor trading in secondary rather than primary, atleast in ur case :-).
forget IDEA and others for sometime. But then..think of it, you have a high chance of hitting it, if the random generator takes pity on u or if law of averages exists, at all.
True bro! In fact, some listings of late have given adequate time for secondary market buyers to pick and ride the wave. Its more of a starting problem, never tried buying a stock on its listing day.
