Ah...what did I tell you ?
Following one's instinct helps. But I wish I had more respect for it. The Sensex tanked by another 405 points today. At one point of time, the index had shed close to 600 points and I was hoping for the exchange to get circuit locked (like what happened in May).
I had marked a 'Sell' order for Sun TV (at 1310), Ashok Leyland (at 42.35) and Bartronics (at 100) early in the trade. Was lucky with the first two but not with the third. And these two had a phenomenal role in cutting short the losses for the day. Sun closed at 1197.40 (-7.69 %) and Ashley closed at 39.15 (-8.10%). Bartronics, the one I couldn't sell ended 4% down at 93.25.
The rest of portfolio ended 3.56 % down, almost in par with the indices.
Biggest Losers of the day: Parsvnath (-11.35%), Bajaj-Hindustan (-10.18%), RIIL (-8.94%), Rel Comm (-6.25%), JPFL(-5.42%), Patel Engg(-4.87%), Tech Mahindra (-4.95%)
Rest of them were in the range of -3% to -4% . They actually happen to be the "better" performers of the day.
